Woof!

My name is Tyson. I'm a Chihuahua/Mountain Feist mix that was rescued from the Blount County Animal Center. I want to give the wonderful staff there an update on my life with the new people I've adopted.

My people live way out in the country, so I have lots of room to run. I always have to be on a leash or a lead, and that's kind of a bummer for me because I would LOVE to bark and chase wild turkeys all day long if I was let loose. I also love chasing squirrels and leaves falling from trees.

My new family has kitties. That's cool because I've had kitties in my past life too. The cats do steal spots on my nice warm electric blanket, so I sometimes have to sit on top of them and make a nice warm place in between them to snuggle.

As I mentioned, I LOVE to go for walks, and there is a little private road here that I walk down every day. It used to tire me out, but now with daily exercise, I can run down that road two or three times a day. The exercise is good for my people too. They always come along, so I keep them safe and bark at any danger.

Things are a lot of fun now, but when I first got to my new home, I became really, really sick. My people rushed me to see the wonderful doctors at Fairview Animal Clinic. They saw it was serious, but no worries, I was on my way for a car ride up to the vets at the University of Tennesee who treated me like a king. We found out that my gallbladder wasn't working properly. With a better diet and some medication, I feel so much better now. My people and all the doctors treated me great!

I'm currently training my people to bring me along for rides in the car. They sometimes forget and try to go places without me, but they're learning. They're pretty good students so far. I think I'll keep them.

Thank you so much to the Blount County Animal Center for finding me this great home with awesome people!

Love and Doggie Kisses,
Tyson
