Experience the thrill of sleeping on an Ilyushin Il-18D liner?

In Holland it is possible thanks to the Vliegtuighotel located at Teuge airport. This Il-18D (DDR-STD) was an aircraft used to transport East German political officials (including leader Erich Honecker); then it passed through the then national airline Interflug from 1964 to 1986 which used it for flights to countries such as Cuba, Russia, China and Vietnam. In total it could accommodate 120 passengers with a crew of four in the cabin.
In 2009 it was decided to transform it into a luxurious 5-star hotel with a single room equipped with Jacuzzi, sauna, WiFi, solarium and many other comforts crammed into 35 meters of length available to customers willing to spend around 365 euros per night for this particular and original experience. The Airplane Suite at Teuge Airport in the Netherlands is a one-room hotel located inside the Il-18 airliner.
However, new research has provided us with further details:
On 26 October 1986 the aircraft was decommissioned and parked at Berlin Schönefeld; in 1988 it was canceled from the aircraft register.
In 1991 it was dismantled and moved overland to Harbke and used as a bar (with 60 seats) since 1992. It was also used on that occasion for wedding ceremonies.
