The idea for this project was simply to imagine a typical Viking village with a very Scandinavian atmosphere. The architecture for this project is based on archival research, testimonies from archaeologists and reconstructions of villages between different eras and different geographical regions. Overall, this village is a mixture of several elements of Viking developments. In the design, the village had to be located by the sea or on a river to represent their navigation power with their famous Drakkar. In addition to this, the village was to be designed as a fortress surrounded by wooden walls and tower to show a rich and powerful village
