A Thousand Deaths © by Sandra Gates, April – July 2022
I died a thousand deaths, yours and mine
Since fear took your breath, and a shot of Russian roulette
Anguish washes over me from time to time.
But I rise each day with a strength higher than mine

I died a thousand deaths, yours and mine.
Since your belief in lies and excluding me from your life.
It’s been the hardest thing I have ever bore
They say all is fair in love and war.

I trust one day you’ll know
The evil that exists put on this show, ohhhh whoah
A thousand deaths
With each and every breath
One by one
I’m just holding on. Holding on. Learning to let go while I hold on.
I died a thousand deaths, yours and mine
Not holding to this strife as the one and only life
Censorship and propaganda alert the wise
To see through the deception of those Power-Over-You-Guys

I died a thousand deaths, yours and mine.
May the darkness be gone, and this perilous war won.
I hold your heart as I have always done
And hope for some happiness to come
I’m just holding on - for the best to come.
Letting go and holding on.

Image "Immaculate Heart" by Clarissa Estes Ph.D.
"The swords through our heart are not those which cause our ruin but rather the mighty swords of strength carried by our deep struggles through hard times."
Swords: surrender, veils, healing, new life, courage, life force "and the heaviest to carry at times, love." ..."Be in touch with the one that dwells within."

"My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the way that will lead you to God" - Blessed Mother Mary
