The continent of Laurone is home to many, but the peace enjoyed by its denizens is tenuous due to threats from the industrious Var’Kolzunians to the north, the technologically advanced Salvonians to the west, and organized criminal activity from within Laurone itself.

Kristonavarian Holsonae is charged with protecting the city of Schorelane and the entire continent of Laurone from all enemies. However, Kris’s reservations about employing the use of jaduri or dark magic to defend the land are well known to his people, and the crime lord Yaqvon seeks to take advantage of this weakness. As Ren’Lorus and de facto ruler of Laurone, Kris employs military tactics based on manpower, weapons, logistics, spy networks, and cunning rather than spells and sorcery.

Some wonder if these traditional weapons will be enough to maintain the honor and safety of Schorelane and the Holsonae family. Should he fail to protect his people, he may have no choice but to employ more unconventional methods involving an unlikely ally to defend the realm.
