Spider-Man 006A - Diet Of Destruction

This is a pretty bizarre ‘Spider-Man’ story in the 1960s series. Yeah, I know. Big shock! But the villain of this ‘Spidey’ story happens to be a giant robot that can eat lots of metal. And we never find out where the robot came from and who built it. It’s left unanswered which must be very disappointing.

Spider-Man sights the metal-eating monster robot at night. Peter Parker tries to show a photo of it to J. Jonah Jameson at the Daily Bugle but he doesn’t believe it. Eventually, Jameson receives phone calls left; right and center about the metal-eating monster robot attacking New York City in the tale. -- T. Bradley
