NEW Revenue Streams for Theaters During Slow Year

Theater chains are looking for additional revenue streams to offset the slow 2024 theatrical release schedule.

The writers and actors strike of 2023 cause a cascading effect to shift the release for many big budget movies theaters rely on. As a result, theaters have moved to selling additional merchandise to supplement their income which includes the now famous, or infamous, Dune popcorn bucket. However, these new pieces of merchandise are a risk for theaters too.
