What Makes A Rape Scene Effective/Justified?
In this essay I talk about different approaches filmmakers use when implementing rape scenes into their films, and why some are more effective than others. I also bring up the ethical concerns of even depicting rape on screen in the first place. It's a sensitive subject, but I think it would be a bit cowardly if I never addressed it.
