Defiant Hunter Biden defends business moves

Hunter Biden, a key figure in the GOP’s impeachment inquiry into his father, appeared on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, where Republicans dedicated a lengthy session delving into the intricacies of overseas business ventures they’ve depicted as a network of corruption involving President Biden.

Despite the extensive nearly seven-hour closed-door questioning, Republicans did not seem to unearth elusive evidence of financial wrongdoing to substantiate their claims.

Hunter Biden remained defiant, defending his diverse business dealings, reiterating that his father played no role in those pursuits, and redirecting the inquiry towards Republicans.

He invoked the foreign business ventures of Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of former President Trump, who secured a substantial investment deal from Saudi Arabia shortly after leaving the White House.

Republicans are now contemplating another opportunity to confront the president’s son, The Hill reported.
