We are all aware of the lives taken, the men and women who never came home. WW2 was a blood bath, and in the aftermath more horrors were discovered, and over the following decades, stories of heroism were heard, and stories of lives lost. Tragic recollections of how they watched as they saw people die, sometimes a recollection of a man holding someone as they watched the life leave a body, and the body go limp.
