Joe Rogan, Christianity, and the Need for Community ft. Paul Vanderklay and Martin Shaw

Joe Rogan is curious about spirituality but skeptical of the cult-like nature of many religious organizations. I think this skepticism is warranted in a world is full of deception. However, it does seem that the desire for true worship of the God who is there is hard wired into human nature. We also long to be a part of a community of unique individuals who share a common purpose. Is it possible for a community to unite around the worship of God, while maintaining the freedom of each individual in that community? I think this is where the people of God display a unique ability to maintain unity and diversity that is lacking in many religious organizations and cults.

I explore the connection between theology, humanity, history and culture. I do this in the hopes of creating meaningful dialogue with others. I am creating dialogues with Jordan Peterson, Joe Rogan, Russel Brand and other powerful voices in culture.
