Michigan GOP Chairman Pete Hoekstra says Michigan autoworkers see how President Joe Biden’s electric vehicle mandate pushes for slave labor in Afghanistan, Africa, and China while displacing their own high-paying jobs. “They’re creating mining jobs somewhere else, making us dependent on China. And the autoworkers have figured this out,” Hoekstra says. “This whole EV incentive thing from the federal government, from Joe Biden and [Governor] Gretchen Whitmer is threatening their jobs.”
