Title: Walking on Water: Lessons in Faith and Courage

Stepping out in Faith
Summary: Just as Peter stepped out of the boat in faith to walk towards Jesus on the water, we are called to step out in faith in our own lives, trusting in God's power and presence to sustain us.
Verse: Matthew 14:29 - "So He said, 'Come.' And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus."

Overcoming Fear
Summary: When the disciples saw Jesus walking on the water, they were afraid. Yet Jesus reassured them, teaching us that in moments of fear, we can find courage in His presence and promises.
Verse: Matthew 14:27 - "But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, 'Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.'"

Keeping Focus on Jesus
Summary: As long as Peter kept his focus on Jesus, he was able to walk on water. However, when he became distracted by the storm, he began to sink. This teaches us the importance of keeping our focus on Christ amidst life's storms.
Verse: Matthew 14:30 - "But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, 'Lord, save me!'"

Faith over Doubt
Summary: Jesus rebuked Peter for his doubt when he began to sink, reminding us that even in moments of doubt, faith in Christ can overcome our fears and uncertainties.
Verse: Matthew 14:31 - "And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, 'O you of little faith, why did you doubt?'"

Acknowledging the Son of God
Summary: After Jesus calmed the storm and rescued Peter, the disciples worshiped Him, acknowledging Him as the Son of God. This reminds us of the power and authority of Jesus over all creation.
Verse: Matthew 14:33 - "Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, 'Truly You are the Son of God.'"
