Born and raised in Lively Ontario, Yvette spent all summers at our camp immersed in nature, fishing, minnow, frog and snake catching, berry picking, star gazing, bushwhacking, canoeing and swimming, like most Northern kids.
Yvette is the cofounder of Cream of the Crop Therapeutics and Nozzr Inc. with her partner Clive. Together they have developed cannabis formulations for topical and inhalation use. They even have filed patents for nasal sprays and nasal vapor consumption.
Yvette says "I have been a lifelong cannabis consumer. My diagnosis of MS in 2013 involved chronic pain and insomnia. I used disease modifying treatments to assist in delaying my MS progression and used opioids, gabapentin, muscle relaxants and robaxacet daily to manage symptoms. Through my curiosity and research of the cannabis plant I was able to discontinue all of my MS medication. My MS is stable, and I am healthier than I was at diagnosis. I incorporate cannabis daily as and when needed. I love terpenes and their medical benefits alongside cannabinoids. I have grown the plant, made hash, alcohol-based tinctures, edibles, infusions, formulations for topicals, vape carts and nasal sprays, and nano products."
During the early days of Covid, Yvette found studies on terpenes and their effects on corona type viruses. Her background in biology and respiratory therapy led Yvette and Clive into creating formulations with cannabinoids and terpenes for use against respiratory viruses and nasal delivery methods. That's when the "Nozzr" was born!
The Nozzr was invented and today it is a nose to brain cannabis consumption device for cannabis vapor. "I love to consume cannabis and to explore methods of consumption, cannabinoid types and terpenes. I am the canna nerd amongst my friends, always trying to connect the dots between science and the plant. Together with Clive, we are resetting Cream of the Crop Therapeutics to be an innovator in plant medicine to provide formulations, novel consumption methods and education." Yvette said
