Tornado Rips Through Grand Blanc, Michigan, Destroys Warehouse and Damages Homes

A tornado tore through Grand Blanc, Michigan early today, touching down in Grand Blanc Township before making its way through the city overnight. Several buildings and homes were damaged in the area, with wires and large trees downed and gas lines uprooted. Many residents were without power Wednesday morning as cleanup efforts got underway.

No injuries or deaths were reported from the incident. A few area roads remained closed as of daybreak on Wednesday morning. An assessment by the National Weather Service with a determination of the tornado’s strength is expected soon.
