Madame Web is turning out to be historically bad for Sony, becoming the worst performing Marvel movie of the 21st century. If you consider inflation, that might be of all time. Which is saying something given how crap Marvel was before 1998’s Blade. I talk about Madame Web’s performance in its second weekend at the box office and what is monumentally bad showing means for coming superhero movies and the genre overall.
