A New Warring States Period - Civil Wars for Everyone

I have been asked repeatedly what a US successor state might look like but I think it is more important to understand the context in which that successor state would exist before we can look at what it may be. If the United States enters civil war, has an economic crash or there is a war with China, Iran, or Russia it is extremely likely that we will enter a new warring states period. Everything is primed for the economic and societal collapse that would destroy most major institutions and leave the entire world in a perpetual state of war. Too much of the world relies on the United States economy and or military for our removal to do anything but usher in collapses across the world and civil wars en mass.
