Special education teacher Heather Barboza once had a student named Emma who inspired her to make change. For young people like Emma, with special needs and challenges, there are few, if any, after-school options. So, Heather wanted to find a solution. The result is Emma’s Place for Exceptional Children, just off of 126th and Hemlock in Overland Park.
