Trinity EcoStorage 30x14x11.5 304 stainless steel utility sink with pull-out faucet from Costco. MSRP $600, on sale for $330.

I’ve lived 25 years at this house with this cheap dirty plastic utility sink from Lowe’s hardware. I finally decided to replace it with a decent steel sink when I spied it on sale at Costco this weekend. I initially planned to hammerdrill it with masonry screws into the concrete wall using pressure-treated wood 4x4 pieces, but the sink was heavy enough (~75+lbs) that I thought it should be ok free-standing in the corner, so long as I don’t decide to stand in it or something. Perhaps I need to pin it to the wall to meet code, but I’ll figure that out when/if we move out of our current house in the future. For now the sink works fine as is. I liked the leveling feet, the storage shelf, the large basin, and especially the pull-out sprayer faucet. The hardest part of the assembly was the couple of trips it took to go to Home Depot and jigger the correct fittings from my ½” PEX water lines to the Apollo zinc-plated brass ½” PEX to 3/8” screw threaded Trinity faucet lines. I also had to use step-downs from our 2” schedule 40 PVC drains to 1-1/2” PVC, then supplement a standard PVC P-trap kit with a faucet drain extension to get it all to fit correctly. The Air Admittance Valve was attached with a long vertical extension to meet code and prevent sewer gases trapping and air exchange for good water drainage flow. Very decent quality sink by Trinity. Highly recommended.
