Storm Shield Forecast morning update 2/20/18

As expected, it's a freezing morning, with temperatures getting to the critical 20s this morning in the rural valley areas. We'll stay in the 30s through the 9 a.m. hour and then climb to a high of 56 this afternoon, still well below our seasonal average of 64. The Kern River Valley climbs to the lower to mid-40s while the south mountains of Tehachapi and Frazier Park fight to get to the upper 30s for their high this afternoon. At least we have sunny skies, a calm wind and great air quality! We'll freeze again tonight with a few degrees of warming tomorrow afternoon.
