Michael Fish's NBC26 Storm Shield Weather forecast

Another round of freezing rain, sleet and even some rain will work its way through this morning, but as temperatures moderate to above freezing through the morning, any lingering precip would change over to mainly a little rain and drizzle. As most locations go above freezing as the day goes on, this will help melt any ice accumulation.  It looks like the farther you live to the southeast, the better you chance will be of getting into the 40's today, but well off to the north and northwest, you'll top in the mid- to upper-30s. Basically, the day improves as it goes on. Tonight, there's going to be a slight chance of a patch or two of a light wintry mix in the evening, but that will move out as the evening progresses. Expect the skies to clear out and the temperatures to drop into the teens though the overnight. Wednesday will be cooler and breezy, but will have plenty of sun. Even though our temperatures will top out in the upper-20s, below freezing, the stronger February sun will help do a little more melting. Wednesday night looks quiet with lows in the low-teens. Thursday will be party cloudy at times with highs in the mid-30s. It looks like we could see some light snow on Thursday night into Friday morning with highs Friday popping back up into the upper-30s.
