Christian School Court Battle Rev Levi Whisner

Rev Levi Whisner recounts his legal battles to keep his Christian school open which ultimately ended in a 6-0 Supreme Court decision. This was presented in the Annual Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Youth Camp meeting at Stonboro in 1977.

The Conservative Holiness movement is known for its emphasis on the possibility, necessity, and instantaneous nature of Entire Sanctification, also known as, the second work of grace.

This doctrine is reiterated in the founding documents of the Holiness Movement, the 1885 Declaration of Principles of Wesleyan Theological Journal which explained:

"Entire Sanctification... is that great work wrought subsequent to regeneration, by the Holy Ghost, upon the sole condition of faith...such faith being preceded by an act of solemn and complete consecration. This work has these distinct elements:"

The entire extinction of the carnal mind, the total eradication of the birth principle of sin;
the communication of perfect love to the soul...
the abiding indwelling of the Holy Ghost."

In 1900 the Allegheny Conference of the Wesleyan Methodist Church purchased land in Stoneboro, Pennsylvania to be used for a camp meeting ground. Stoneboro Camp stands today and continues to shine the light of holiness in a decadent culture.

The Allegheny Conference is part of the broader conservative holiness movement.

Stoneboro Camp has been marked across the years by a spirit of prayer. The emphasis on prayer brings the spirit of revival that has had a powerful impact on the connection of churches.
