The Moment Richmond Won the 2017 AFL Grand Final
It was the moment Richmond fans had long been waiting for. 37 years since their last AFL Premiership in 1980, Richmond took the 2018 season by storm, charging in to the Grand Final against Adelaide.
Played at Richmond’s spiritual home, the MCG, in Melbourne, the Tigers started nervously before taking the game on, running out comprehensive victory against the Adelaide Crows.
Led by Brownlow medallist Dustin Martin, the Tigers were ferocious at the contest, applying pressure to the Crows ball carriers to consistently turn the ball over.
In this video, watch the moment the Tigers won the game, in front of 100,000 fans. The crowd joins in singing the famous Richmond theme song, ‘Yellow n Black’, as they saviour the moment they’d been waiting so long for.
