Parallel Forest - Government Experiment now Abandoned

Today it’s just part of an abandoned forest.
20,000 red cedars were planted by the Government in 1912 to act as a wind block and contract the effects of the dust bowl. The cedars are 6 feet apart in every direction and planted to grow up and not out.
