A kind of nostalgia day; I had an idea to go through some, what is known these days as deep cuts. from my songbook. This is one of them, dating from 1993. I did cut a studio version of it, but so far as I know, that is the only time I ever played it.. I certainly never played it live.

This is a true story, albeit one written in metaphor, about a place I used to live, or rather, reside; it wasn't the kind of town where anyone had a life, unless they were crooked cops and even more crooked councillors. Parking their big cars prominently outside the church every Sunday morning, and less prominently outside the squat we lived in every Friday night, well they went to visit the luck-damned young girls in the flat on the top floor. You'll find too many places like that in the UK this very day of you look past the thin veneer of morality spray-painted on the dirt.

Light, hope, and peace,
Me
