French farmers dump manure, start tire fires as protests continue

Farmers in Brittany decided to turn their ongoing protests into a literal dumpster fire on Tuesday, setting huge piles of manure, tires and garbage alight as part of their ongoing protests against EU-wide policies.

According to local media, around 50 tractors gathered to contribute garbage to the pile, but were stopped by police vans from continuing their convoy afterwards.

The EU-wide protests have seen farmers across the continent rally against high production costs, tax hikes, red tape, fuel costs, ‘green’ regulations, and cheap imports, issues which they say are destroying their livelihoods.
