On Saturday June 13th, 2020, IHN hosted our Mississauga Virtual Open House with Kathrin Brunner, BA, CNP, RYT!

The microbiome plays a vital role in our overall health. Imbalances have been linked to digestive issues, allergies, skin conditions and mental health imbalances. While the probiotic industry has become a billion-dollar industry, there is little evidence to support their effectiveness. Food, however, plays a major role and you’ll learn which ones are best.

From this presentation you will learn:
- An understanding of the basic functions of the human microbiome, including connections to digestive, immune and skin health
- A list of the key indicators that the microbiome is out of balance, such as bloating, acne and inflammation
- An outline of the major contributing factors causing the decline of the microbiome
- Information to discern the quality and effectiveness of probiotic products
- Tips to improve the health of your microbiome naturally using therapeutic foods and lifestyle approaches
