The Ultimate Transition

It’s the “Chair Man” again…and, lately, there’s a lot of talk about “transitioning.” You know…people born male becoming female, and vice versa. It can be painful, expensive, too…and the results? Well… questionable, at best.

There’s an eternal transition, though, which offers far better results. It’s a spiritual transition. And one you’ll never regret.

You transition from sinner to Saint…from darkness to light…from hate to love…and from the family of the devil into the family of God.

Then, comes one final transition…from this world to the next. That’s a transition we all must make. The unbeliever has every reason to be terrified. For the Christian, it may also seem unnerving. Leaving behind familiar people, places, and things and stepping into an unfamiliar future may take us out of our comfort zones.

But there’s a foolproof way to prepare for that coming day. The Bible says we are already seated with Christ in heavenly places. It also tells us that He has already blessed us with all blessings in those same places. So, there’s a spiritual exchange that is already taking place. We are complete IN HIM. We have become “partakers of the divine nature.” By faith, we can know that the blessings of Heaven already belong to us, and we can access them here on Earth by spending time regularly in His Holy presence.

This, then, is the secret of a successful, peaceful transition into His presence…getting to know Him, to commune with Him, daily, here on Earth. Anyone can know ABOUT Him. Christians have known and accepted what He did for us. But we must not miss this next step...following on to know Him. This happens through reading His Word, the Bible, and letting it renew our minds. It comes through daily prayer times. And through moments of fellowship like holy communion…which bring healing to our bodies and souls. By His stripes, we ARE healed. His stripes heal our scars. His peace heals our fears.

When He says it’s time…His presence with and within us…prepares us, transports and transitions us seamlessly back home into His Kingdom. For the Christian, death…or the Rapture…become Moving Day…to a much, much better Zip Code.

So, to review, the secret to making that ultimate transition a smooth one is spending time with Jesus, now. He loves us and wants to hear from us. Our friendship with Him begins on this Earth, spirit-to Spirit, and continues with Him there, face-to-face.
