Speaker Ben Toma News Conference on “Protecting Arizona Against Illegal Immigration Act”

STATE CAPITOL, PHOENIX – Arizona Speaker of the House Ben Toma is sponsoring HCR 2060, the “Protecting Arizona Against Illegal Immigration Act,” a referral to Arizona voters that would expand the existing E-Verify law to close significant loopholes that enable businesses to hire illegal immigrants and to prevent them from obtaining billions in taxpayer-funded benefits. An amended version of the bill will be considered by the House Appropriations Committee Monday afternoon.

House Speaker Ben Toma will hold a news conference on Monday, February 19, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at the Arizona State Capitol to address this major legislation and respond to relevant questions.
