Sept. 8, 1991 - Rodney Peete completed a career-high 25 passes on 38 attempts for 271 yards and a TD to lead Detroit to its first win of the 1991 season, 23-14 over the Packers. Ten of those passes fell into the battle-worn hands of Robert Clark, who garnered career-highs in both receptions and yardage (143), despite a broken finger, a dislocated finger, and ligament damage to several other digits. Sidelined against the Redskins with a rib injury, Barry Sanders made his '91 debut with 42 yards and one TD on 18 carries. Pro-Bowler Mel Gray accounted for 163 yards for the Lions, 103 on three kickoff returns, 24 on a punt return and 36 yards on two receptions.
