Police and public jail records indicate that two individuals have been arrested on charges of murder and abuse of a corpse following the grim discovery of a girl’s body encased in concrete and a boy’s remains in a suitcase in Colorado.

The City of Pueblo Police Department revealed the arrest of Corena Rose Minjarez, 36, on Friday. Additionally, county jail records confirm the detention of the second suspect, Jesus Dominguez, 35, as of Sunday.

Last month, authorities found the girl’s remains in a metal container filled with concrete in a storage unit being cleared out due to unpaid rent.

During the investigation, police began searching for two children, Jesus Dominguez Jr. and Yesenia Dominguez, last seen in the summer of 2018. Notably, the children had not been reported missing.

The inquiry led police to a vehicle owned by Minjarez in a scrap yard, where a boy’s remains were discovered in a suitcase in the trunk, ABC News reported.
