"The fate of Oceanwide Plaza was predictable, and when something is predictable, it is preventable. But the immediate question has become what will happen to the towers themselves.

Our city leaders have failed us. But, this can be turned into a great opportunity for the city. I encourage our leaders to explore using them for workforce housing, which is sorely needed for our teachers, firefighters and police."
