Killer Party

In the summer of 2011, Tyler Hadley allegedly formulated a disturbing plan to murder his parents, a few weeks before the tragic events unfolded. He confided in a friend, expressing his intention to host a large party following the murders, something he believed had never been done before. This premeditation was further evidenced by a cryptic post on his Facebook profile around noon on July 16, 2011: "party at my crib tonight...maybe."

As the afternoon wore on, Tyler's intentions became chillingly clear. Armed with a claw hammer and under the influence of ecstasy, he launched his brutal attack. First, he assaulted his mother, Mary-Jo, as she sat at her computer, and then turned his violence toward his father, Blake, who rushed to her aid upon hearing her screams.

In the aftermath of the murders, Tyler meticulously attempted to cover his tracks. He concealed his parents' phones and locked away their loyal Labrador, whom he feared would intervene. Then, he spent 3 hours cleaning the scene, all while laying his deceased parents' bodies in the master bedroom and obscuring them beneath household items.

But Tyler's macabre plans didn't end there. Even before carrying out the murders, he began inviting guests to his ill-fated party, charging expenses to his parents' credit cards. Approx 60 individuals attended the gathering that evening, with some allegedly detecting an unsettling odor emanating from the house.

The following morning, Tyler's arrest brought an abrupt end to the festivities, and news of the gruesome crime spread rapidly throughout the community. The chilling saga of Tyler Hadley serves as a sobering reminder of the darkness that can lurk within the human psyche and the devastating consequences that can arise from unchecked violence and moral depravity.
