Don't Let Fear Ruin Your Fun! Ride The Cable Cars And See Singapore From A Whole New Perspective.

I take a high scary cable car ride to Sentosa Island.

I get on at the Harbourfront station, the easiest point to pick up the cable car as it has easy access from the nearby MRT station. Tickets cost $35 SGD for a round trip - note you can only travel in one direction. It takes about 25 minutes to travel from one end of the Cable Car to the other.

Our first stop is Mt Faber - its only 100 meters above sea level but offers great views of Singapore city and Sentosa Island and the Singapore Straights. This is the highest part of the cable car ride with cable spans being spaced far apart and quite high - approx 100 meters at this highest.

I changed cable cars at Sentosa station to the trip to Siloso Point. I rode up the elevator to the Fort Siloso Skywalk - it is nestled in the tree tops and it has impressive views of Siloso Beach, the Straight of Singapore and the surrounding area. It is yet another high attraction.

There are many other attractions at Sentosa Island including Universal Studios, Bungee Jumping, a Zip line, Golf course and a water park - I gave all those a miss.

I wandered around Siloso Beach and walked across a small bridge to an island just off the beach.

I then spend quite some time wandering around Fort Siloso War Museum and its WW2 vintage buildings and displays. There is plenty to see, do and touch - it is immersive and interactive. Entry to the Skywalk and Museum is free.

After a couple of hours I caught the Cable Car back to Harbourfront and had a great lunch at the Seoul Garden Hotpot Restaurant in the Harbourfront Centre Mall.

I headed back to our hotel and stopped by the Marina Square Mall and WW2 Civilian Memorial. After a short rest I had a refreshing swim and then & dinner at the Hotel.

Another fabulous day in Singapore.
