KJV Bible Study - Is Makeup in Scripture?

The word "makeup" does not appear in scripture. However, the scriptural term for putting on makeup is "painting the face". In this study we will look at each of the three times that scripture clearly mentions painting the face and all the idolatry and adultery that is in context with each of those passages (II Kings 9:30; Jeremiah 4:30; Ezekiel 23:40).The bottom line is, it is NOT the will of God that woman who profess godliness should wear makeup. Wearing makeup brings attention to your face and we told to have shamefaceness in I Timothy 2:9. Not to mention that we can give thanks to the drag queens (Sodomites) for the modern day usage of contouring (this means using makeup as a way to change your face shape).
