In the Sicilian town of Palazzolo Acreide, the feast day of Saint Sebastian is celebrated. The holy patron, pierced by an arrow, miraculously saved the people of Palazzolo Acreide from the plague.

Since then, Saint Sebastian and other patron saints are celebrated twice a year with brass band music, ritual shouts, and explosions of red confetti. 🎺🎉
