Nikki Haley Ad, Mainstream Media Accuse Trump Of Disrespecting Veterans

Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, and her campaign launched a new digital ad accusing former President Donald Trump of insulting U.S. veterans. The ad is a direct result of Trump asking why her husband, Michael Haley, has not appeared with her on the campaign trail.

Michael Haley is a South Carolina National Guard officer. He is deployed to support the U.S. Africa Command.

The ad, released on Thursday, is titled “Donald Trump Doesn’t Understand Service.” It mentions how the former president avoided being drafted into the Vietnam War.

Haley, and mainstream media, allege a pattern of disrespect toward military officers and veterans.

While Haley has high hopes that her ad attack will gain supporters in the South Carolina primary, recent polling suggests that Trump is leading bye nearly 34 percentage points.
