Riot reported at Lerdo Jail

The Kern County Sheriff's Office called in extra resources Tuesday night after reports of a riot at the Lerdo Jail. It happened around 10 p.m. Tuesday when officials said a pod of inmates refused to lock down. Officials said they could see fights breaking out, but there were no visual major injuries. The CHP was also called in to assist officials.
