Are These Chemtrails or Contrails?

The sky was 100% clear blue until the jets started flying over. One will fly through, leaving a trail that gets wider and wider, "leaking" what looks like a light mist that spreads away from the "mother" trail, covering the rest of the sky. Then more jets fly through that "mist" leaving thin trails that disappear almost right away, before that "mist" then turns as thick as the original trail.
This goes on for most of the day, basically following the sun west until the it sets.
This happens more days than not, to varying degrees.

i don't know whether they're "chemtrails" or "contrails", but I'm really sick of them ruining the sky.
They do it at night too albeit not as often, ruining plenty of startrail sessions.
