How To Become a Crime Scene Investigator (CSI) Part 3 - Francine Bardole
What does it take to be an effective and thorough crime scene investigator (CSI)? There are LOTS of great CSIs out there, and many with an amazing amount of experience, but we can't think of anyone who can answer that question better than Francine Bardole.
Francine didn't start her career as a CSI. In fact far from it! She was originally a women's advocate and was studying to be an attorney, having already obtained two college degrees. But although becoming a lawyer and raising five children at the same time may be possible, it wasn't in the cards for Francine, so she ended up putting the lawyer route on hold.
In the meantime, she wanted to stay active in the field, so ended up taking a job in another area, and that eventually led to her becoming a crime scene investigator with West Jordan Police Department.
Francine also became one of the world's leading experts in M-Vac forensic DNA collection, helping solve cases for agencies all over the US using this cutting-edge technology. She also developed a unique way of getting DNA off of shell casings called the Bardole Method. She is truly amazing!
Listen to Part 3 of this interesting interview and please comment below on any thoughts you may have of it!
Also, check out Francine's new website and connect with her on social media as she continues to be an innovator and leading expert in the forensics field of DNA and collecting DNA from shell casings!
