The chaotic shootout at a Bronx subway station, resulting in the death of one bystander and injuries to five others, originated from a confrontation between rival gangs, as disclosed by the police on Tuesday.

Authorities have released photos of two suspected gunmen who remain at large.

Surveillance images depict one of the suspected individuals, wearing a ski mask, fleeing the scene in a black jacket, a black hooded sweatshirt, and white and red Air Jordan sneakers.

The second suspect is seen in a black Northface jacket, a gray hooded sweatshirt, a black ski mask covering his mouth, dark pants, and black and yellow Air Jordan sneakers, according to police.

“This was a random shooting that occurred on a number 4 train between two rival groups,” NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny told reporters during a briefing on the Monday afternoon shooting, the New York Post reported.
