How does one become a homicide detective and serve for 40+ years? We ask Detective (Ret) Cloyd Steiger just that. Cloyd was with the Seattle PD for over 30 years, with 23 of those in homicide, investigating over 200 cases! To do that and still be sane is amazing, but to have also served as a sex crimes detective as well is even more impressive.

Part 1 of our discussion goes into depth about Cloyd's transition into law enforcement, what inspired him to become a cop, and how his drive, determination, and childhood goals helped him become one of Seattle's best and longest-serving detectives.
