In ancient times, the shedding of blood was a sacrificial requirement, along with adherence to all of the other requirements. But since the atonement of our Lord Jesus Christ, our sacrifices are things like repentance, obedience, belief, worship, devotion, praise, charity, forgiveness, patience...etc...etc...
