Joe Kennedy, Cold Case Expert, NCIS (ret) - How Experts Solve Cold Cases

In this interview, Joe Kennedy and Jared Bradley discuss how experts solve cold cases. They cover what it's like to work a homicide case, establish NCIS, work on cold cases, and train detectives.

Homicides are, by their nature, the most difficult cases to solve. The crimes are usually brutal, the victim's family will never get closure, and the community is affected more than any other crime statistic. This is why only seasoned, hardened and the best-trained detectives make the homicide squad.

In his 25+ years at NCIS, Joe Kennedy not only helped solve dozens of homicides all over the world, he also was instrumental in establishing the NCIS cold case unit and trained cold case squads on almost every continent. Since retiring from NCIS, Joe has continued to train detectives in cold case techniques and shares some of his insights with us in this episode.
