Judge Proceeds with Misconduct Hearing in Trump Election Case, Possibility of DA’s Disqualification

The judge presiding over the case involving former President Donald Trump’s alleged interference in the Georgia election stated that the misconduct accusations against Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis could potentially lead to her disqualification.

Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee expressed these views during a hearing on Monday, wherein the decision was made to proceed with the scheduled Thursday hearing.

The Thursday hearing aims to determine whether Willis, prosecutor Nathan Wade, and others must testify.

Trump’s co-defendant, Michael Roman, has subpoenaed Willis, Wade, and several employees from the DA’s office to testify.

Roman filed a motion last month seeking the dismissal of election charges against him and the disqualification of Willis, ABC News reported.
