In the wake of mankind's fall (Genesis 3), nakedness is a source of shame. Aside from the need to protect the body from nature's elements, clothing has become much more than an item necessary to cover nakedness. Clothing is an indication of one's socioeconomic status and in general is used to enhance one's outward appearance. Clothing has also been widely used for purposes of deception. The Bible is not silent regarding these various uses of clothing. In this message, Michael Braasch traces the significance of clothing in the stories of Genesis. All are a prelude to ultimate clothing of Christ's righteousness for believers in the Eternal State.

Genesis 41:42 | King James Version

42 And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck.
