Clerk fights off Would-Be Robber

Detectives are trying to identify a man they say attempted to rob a Lehigh Acres convenience store Wednesday night, but was instead confronted by a clerk. It happened just after 11pm at the 7-Eleven store near the intersection of Sunshine Boulevard and State Road 82. According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, a black male, masked with a green bandana, jumped the counter and attempted to grab the cash register drawer. The on duty clerk grabbed the suspect behind and a scuffle ensued.
