B526 - Feb 4, 2024 Idolizing Yourself

The Holy Bible is filled with stories of people who worshipped idols made by men using stone and wood. Yehovah constantly reminded the people of Israel that He was the only God that they should worship and to not follow after the other gods worshipped by the surrounding nations.

Idolatry in the eyes of Yehovah is like cheating on a spouse and is even referred to as adultery in many places in scripture. The OT prophet Hosea was asked by Yehovah to marry an unfaithful woman, in order to provide an object lesson to Israel on what adultery to God looked like, in the life of a human.

What many believers today like to avoid in their conversations, is that loving and caring for your own self, more than you care for the desires and plans of Yehovah, can be idolatry according to God.

Stop worrying about getting enough "Me Time" for yourself and being concerned about your plans for your future, and seek God and His Plan for your life. No one likes to be around selfish, self-centered people and Yehovah is no different. Stop worshipping your self and focus on bringing the worship that God requests from His Children.

Trust in Yehovah with all of your heart and do not trust in your own abilities. Cry out to Yeshua and accept His free gift of redemption for your life and be filled with the Holy Spirit from Yehovah. Trust in the Plan that will never fail!
