A 51-year-old man is accused of stealing a U-Haul van and leading multiple law enforcement agencies on a chase.

The Indian River County Sheriff's Office (IRCSO) says it was alerted to the stolen U-Haul van by the Brevard County Sheriff's Office.

As the driver, identified as Eric Kelly, crossed into Indian River County, deputies and the Fellsmere Police Department picked up the chase, IRCSO says.

The sheriff's office said the chase came to an end at 89th Street and Willow in Fellsmere.

Video showed multiple deputies with guns drawn surrounding the U-Haul van as Kelly and an unidentified person in the passenger seat climb out of the vehicle.

Deputies say Kelly is being held in the Indian River County Jail on a $61,000 bond.

According to IRCSO, Kelly now faces charges of reckless driving, driving while license is revoked, leaving the scene of a crash with property damage and felony fleeing and eluding.
