RCP: National Citizens' Inquiry - Round 2, w. Christine McPherson

MWO (Ret'd) Jeff Evely is joined by Christine McPherson, Chair of the NCI Ottawa Subcommittee, for the vision on the way forward for the next round of NCI hearings. The NCI was created in 2022 to give Canadians a platform to have their stories of the impact of COVID measures on their lives, under oath. They have included the testimonies of expert witnesses, especially those who differ from the government narrative. Their terms of reference closely modelled those of the federal Inquiries Act and similar provincial legislation. The recently produced a lengthy report, based on the testimony given to provide the lessons learned, and recommendations on which to base future management of national crises, better mitigate harms, and restore trust in public institutions.
